We have seen that Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3038314) fails frequently when it is installed on a freshly installed system using the standard Windows Update process.
The error code 80092004 seems to indicate that the "object or property cannot be found" and in our case that would be true because the install process fails to download the update completely.
More specifically we see the issue on new installs where the first install of updates on a new Windows 7 SP1 system includes Internet Explorer 11 as one of the first updates which means the system jumps directly from IE 8 to IE 11. The issue doesn't seem to appear as frequently when the update process is forced to install the previous versions of Internet Explorer in order of IE 8 to IE9 to IE 10 to IE 11.
InfoWorld has an interesting article on this specific patch indicating additional issues after it is installed. None of the claims in the article have been seen in our own installations.
Many technical notes from others have suggested running SFC /SCANNOW and verify the system is not corrupted, but on a freshly installed system the system should be in clean. In rare cases we have found that downloading this specific KB3038314 patch and installing it manually works since one problem is with Windows Update not being able to complete the download process for this specific patch.
Another issue with this update is that the update is already installed but not detected by the Windows Update. If this occurs with this specific update, there is a possibility that the installation of this KB is corrupted, but not likely on a new system install. You can manually uninstall it and then reinstall it to ensure it is installed correctly, however our experience is that once you uninstall it the patch it does not reinstall. If you choose to attempt to uninstall the patch, run "wusa /uninstall /KB:3038314" from a command prompt, then manually install the KB update again.
You should download the corresponding version directly from Microsoft.

We have received a report from VeganTommy.net, a visitor to our site make a note that uninstalling IE 11 and then installing an older release of IE 11 and then the patch will install.
At this time we are recommending clients to just hide the update and install the individual patches as required for their business since the installation of this update fails more often than it installs. The individual patches can be found on Microsoft's web site in the article relating to this patch however once you hide the cumulative patch MS15-032, the individual patches for IE 11 install automatically.
